Support streams

  • ‘FoodSavers’ is our community grocery which runs from 10.30-11.30am on Wednesdays. We offer a range of fresh fruit and vegetables, tinned food, and household provisions at low cost.

    Our Pete’s Place drop-in session runs from 10.30am on Wednesdays, and we offer a free hot meal from 12noon. We also be serve tea and coffee from 10.30am alongside ‘Foodsavers.’

  • We partner with ‘BD4 Community Trust’ which offers support and activities for families, children, and older people. For more information, visit www.bd4communitytrust.org.uk

  • From 1-2.30pm on Tuesdays (term time) we offer FREE English classes for the community. We have 3 levels of tuition available: Beginners, Improvers or Advanced. If you would like more information, or to sign up for our classes, please email esol@stjohnshub.org.uk

  • Asylum Seekers and refugees are very welcome, and are a deeply valued part of the community at St John’s Bowling. If you would like to find out more information then please email soleiman@stjohnsbowling.com

  • We partner with Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous who meet at the Church hall. AA meetings are at 7pm on Wednesdays, and NA meetings are at 7pm on Fridays.

  • ‘BD4 Community Trust’ offers support and activities for older people through their ‘GEMS’ programme. For more information, visit www.bd4communitytrust.org.uk
